Hello!

Today I'm going to show you how to change a Flash Forge Pros Nozzle. You can buy the replacement nozzles HERE from MicroSwiss or ProtoPasta. The style that fits your Flash Forge Pro is a MK10. This process is as easy as changing a light bulb.

The nozzle that I purchased was a 0.2mm for $14.99.

The first step is unscrewing the two screw that hold the Flash Forge extrusion build onto the carrier on the axis.

The second step is to move your printer to a spot where you can access the back. If it's already in a pretty open space then just simply turn the printer around so the back is facing you.

The third step is to un-clip the black cord from the back of the printer. Then lift your printer carriage off and put it on the surface. Be careful not to break any wires that are connected to the build.

The tools your going to need for the fourth step include a clamp or pliers to hold down the heating block while unscrewing the nozzle with a 8-9mm wrench.

Fifth you need to use the pliers to hold the heating block, again be aware of the wires and be sure not to clip them, and with the wrench unscrew the nozzle like unscrewing a light bulb.

You should see something like this once the nozzle gets unscrewed completely.

All you have to do now is put on your new nozzle. Just take out the white tube and put the new nozzle securely onto it.

Then screw it back in nice and tight!

Last but not least you put it back onto the carriage and screw the two screws back.

Just like that you're done! It's as easy as changing a light bulb!

Noe keep in mind that if the feed rate is too much then the filament may back up since the hole is smaller then 0.4mm. If you get a smaller nozzle diameter remember to scale down the feed rate. For example the normal feed rate for a 0.4mm nozzle is 1200mm/m. So for a 0.2mm nozzle it would be half of that which would mean 600mm/m and so on.

Thank you for taking a look and I hope this helped!

Here's an example of a ring using the new 0.2mm nozzle! It is very detailed! I'm quit pleased with it. This is in bronze fill using normal PLA perameters. You can buy the bronze filament HERE from Colorfabb.
